Candidate · National Coordinator
Oscar Keino
Grassroots · Logistics · Community building
Background
Oscar Keino brings to the National Coordinator race a grassroots-up approach to organizing — a belief that great national coordination begins with great local capacity. A familiar voice in GI gatherings and chapter conversations, he has invested years in the relationships that make Gotabgaa work.
Why I'm Running
Oscar is running because the National Coordinator is one of the most consequential offices in GI — and one of the least understood. Done well, it knits the diaspora into one community. Done poorly, chapters drift, programs fizzle, and members lose touch. He is running to do this well.
Vision for the Office
A National Coordinator's office grounded in local capacity — a belief that the diaspora is strongest when each chapter is healthy. The role lives in the relationships between members, between chapters, and across the generations who carry Gotabgaa forward.
